This car was for sale in early 2003.

It was a Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet, made 1988, with 70k miles.

It's in good condition. It has a few, hardly visible, coloration flaws in the leathers and other contact areas, but the engine, the other mechanical parts, as well as the convertible top + back window are in perfect condition, the window and inner fabric of the roof have actually just been replaced, with original parts, of course.

It includes all the covers (one to protect the entire car when parked outside, a bra for the front, and 2 different covers for the inside if you drive with the top down). It also has a windshield for the back to keep wind out of the passenger area when driving on the highways. Everything is motor driven: The roof opens with a flip of a switch, mirrors and windows and seats move by power, too. The car has an alarm system, central door locks and A/C.

If you are not sure about getting a Porsche, here are some facts to get a better picture:

• Porsches are very reliable. If you take good care of them (you should be prepared to pay $1000-2000 per year in service, including tires etc.), they'll never let you down. I've had this car for 3 years and have never had any trouble, even though this car is already 14 years old.
• Porsches are made to last, not to force you to buy a new one every few years: Porsche claims that 60% of all of their ever built cars are still on the streets.
• Tall people fit in it. I am 6'4" tall and sit comfortably in this sportscar. No other sports convertible I tried out (Boxter, BMW Z3, Mazda and some others) provided so much room for my legs and head.
• It's actually a four seater! The back seats are tight, but you can actually have children sit in there nicely, or even get four adults in it, although that's not too comfy for longer rides. But for a short trip it's OK.
• The car is just beautiful. Both in appearance and engineering. Everything fits.
• Note that this is not a race car. A 5 liter engine SUV will get you quicker from 0 to 60mph (at higher speed, though, the Porsche will win). Instead, think of the elegance of this car, driving it open in the sun, its reliability, and the fun you'll have going on curvy roads in Marin county (you'll get to pass a lot of SUVs out there, if you like :^)

The car is now sold. I miss it.
